How do I stop getting ghosted by sales prospects?

How often have you been confronted with radio silence after the initial call allegedly opening a broad path to perfect prospects? This popular (although sad) phenomenon is widely called prospect ghosting. How can you confront it? Use some of the following 6 techniques — and your prospects will once more embrace you after weeks of cold shoulders. 1) Check what could have gone wrong on your side. Maybe, you haven’t listened attentively? Or couldn’t follow up quickly enough? Or maybe, your overall vibes weren’t trustworthy? (This last point is the most complicated one: if you’re the most confident and trustworthy but your vibes reveal something different, you should probably adjust somehow). 2) Try to arrange face-to-face meetings. They are way more complicated for ghosting. 3) Give more value. Of course, somebody can think that a decent CV with a photo is a ton of value already — however, different thoughts also have a right to be valid. Study your prospect’s company and determine the pain points your enterprise can cater to. 4) Send a video selfie with a brief message. What should you include? Remind of your aim of sharing something valuable and unique. Propose a time slot. Speak about the problems you might be able to solve.

How do businesses deal with ghosting?

Variants can be plentiful. Here’s just a brief list of potential possibilities. Create a pleasant climate to turn the table back to them and to make them return to you. Do everything possible to show you care — and then subtly offer time options for another meeting. Arrange a video call with them. Do everything you can to create an impression of their control. Maintaining outer control makes them feel good and get on their good side. Send them a postcard or a similar attention sign after the final break-up email. Let them know you hope they’ve solved the problem they addressed you with somewhere else. It can boost their activity towards renewing their ties with your company.

What to say to a client who is ghosting you?

Don’t panic! Meditate or otherwise calm yourself and try to assess the situation soberly. Sober assessments help you determine what could be done differently from both sides. Send a polite message asking what happened and how it can be mended. If your clients proceed with ghosting — don’t waste too much time mourning and self-shaming.
