What is the role of a Data Scientist in a Machine Learning project?

The selection and preparation of the data, choosing appropriate algorithms, and training models-the Data Scientist does all these. Other actions of Data Scientist include assessing the performance of the models using various metrics like accuracy, precision, recall; fine tuning the models with a view to realizing better results; deployment of models into production with the help of an engineer.
