When LEEO set out to transition, it needed new infrastructure, data flows, and experiments on cutting-edge insurance products. Two weeks from “we need devs” to devs crafting products
LEEO came to Lemon.io looking for senior Python and React engineers, ideally with AWS experience — people who could own tasks end-to-end.

The developers built the data pipelines that pull telematics from third-party devices and providers (how well drivers drive, how often they accelerate) into the underwriting system — the engine behind LEEO’s data-driven pricing.
In parallel, part of the team handled maintenance and AWS work, cleaning up the cloud footprint and minimizing infrastructure costs.
The result: a fully functioning, self-sustaining platform rolled out within the first 6 months, with live users onboarded quickly through LEEO’s agent-approval flow.
According to LEEO, the long-term underwriting performance will only be measurable in a few years — which is the honest nature of insurance — but the launch milestone was hit on time.
Just as importantly, LEEO proved it could scale engineering capacity up and down when needed: build a team in weeks and onboard quickly. And that flexibility is now part of the company’s plans for future development.
