Is Godot better than Unity?

Whether Godot is better than Unity depends on the project. Godot is an open-source, lightweight game engine designed for 2D games. It has a straightforward workflow and doesn’t burden an indie developer with licensing fees. It also supports 3D, but nowhere near as much as Unity. Unity is very mature in features and much more appropriate for complex projects, especially those with advanced graphics and cross-platform support. Godot fits projects that are less challenging and concentrated on 2D, while Unity is superlative for more complex and commercial ones.
